Before and After

How do it work?

  1. Choose a suitable package for your dirty sneakers and book your cleaning package.
  2. You send your sneakers to our location or you come by, call in advance to make sure we are present. 
    If you send the sneakers, make sure you send the package insured to lower your risk.
  3. We receive your sneakers and then see if you have chosen the right package for the state in which your sneakers are located. If your sneakers need a little more attention, we will contact us via email.
  4. Everything is approved and we are going hard to get your sneakers Fresh again. This usually takes between 4-6 business days.
  5. The sneakers are packed and insured back to you. If you have brought them, you can come and pick them up if we indicate that they are ready.

Treat and delivery time

After receiving the sneakers, we will be treated immediately. The lead time is approximately:

  • 4-6 working days for all cleaning service packages.

After the sneakers are completely fresh again, they are sent back to you with PostNL. That takes about:

  • 1-3 business days with PostNL

Note: Depending on the crowds it may take longer to get your sneakers back in top condition.

- Clean laces* = You get a free new set of laces with sneakers that use 8mm laces.
- Stain treatment ** = In consultation we will determine what is possible when removing a stain. Deep oil stains, for example, cannot be removed, but a mud stain can.

Do I have to do the sneaker check before using the cleaning service?

No, but it is recommended. Based on the photos, we'll give you detailed advice on which service best suits your shoes. This way, we prevent disappointment. Services purchased without a sneaker check will be refunded.

If you visit us on location, we can do the assessment together.

How long does it take before I get a response to the sneaker check?

We will of course try to respond as quickly as possible. Depending on the crowds, it can take up to 24 hours before you receive a response from us. We may sometimes need more information. We will let you know.

How do I know if I need the special treatment?

After receiving your photos, we'll recommend the best cleaning service for your sneakers. The special treatment is intended for sneakers made of delicate materials like mesh, suede, nubuck, and certain leathers. Luxury brands and limited edition sneakers also require special treatment, regardless of the material. A shoe you paid a fortune for (over $250) deserves extra care, right?

Can sneaker also be rejected after a sneaker check?

Yes. We assess whether it is useful to get started with your sneakers. If we don't think they can be saved more, we will let you know.

Which products do you use during cleaning?

We have one of the most extensive assortments of accessories for sneakers and we make good use of it! All products we use can be purchased on our webshop.

What if my sneakers are damaged during treatment?

Using the cleaning service is, such as cleaning your own sneakers, at your own risk.

We will always use the best products that are suitable for your sneakers. If your sneakers are still damaged during the Cleaning Service, we will contact you and handle this in an appropriate manner.

Do I get my money back if I am not satisfied with the result?

We also take Before and after photos of all the sneakers that come in. We always try to achieve the best results, of course you can think differently. Because we have put the necessary time into it, no money is returned. However, we will look for other suitable solutions if it is reasonable of course.

What are the differences between the Essential Cleaning Service and the Premium Cleaning Service?

At the Premium Cleaning Service we pay more attention to your sneakers. We not only clean your sneakers, we also impregnate them for you with Crep Protect and ensure that they smell fresh again with the help of a sneaker deodorant.

How do I know if I need the special treatment?

After receiving the photos, we will give an advice which cleaning service best suits your sneakers.

The Special Treatment is meant for sneakers made from delicate materials such as mesh, suede, nubuck and certain types of leather.

Luxury brands and limited sneakers also need a special treatment, regardless of the type of material. A shoe for which you have paid a lot of money (250+), also deserves extra service right?

 

Can I also hand over my shoes somewhere?

Yes you can! You can hand them in at our office. That is at Lulofstraat 55 in The Hague. Call in advance to be sure that we are present.

What are the shipping costs?

You are responsible for sending the shoes to us. You can also bring them to our location on Monday or Thursday. We recommend that you always send the shoes insured.

How do I send my sneakers to Sneaker Essentials?

After placing your order, you can send the shoes to our address.

What if my sneakers get lost during shipment?

Sending the sneakers to us is the responsibility of the sneaker owner. If they get lost, we can assist with starting an investigation at the postal company. Unfortunately this is all we can do.

To return the sneakers to you, we send them insured with PostNL. If they are lost, we can start an investigation and if they are really missing, PostNL part of the market value. This is determined on a case -by -case basis.

My shipping is delayed, what now?

Patience :). We have close contact with PostNL about all our packages. If there has been a delay, it will arrive with us or with you a day or 2 later.

Can I also combine a shipment with an order from the webshop?

Of course! Will you let us know in time so that we can respond to that? If we combine a shipment, we will also refund the shipping costs for superfluous shipments.

Can I also add products from the webshop to my existing Cleaning Service Order?

Of course! Your complete order will be sent when your sneakers are Fresh again thanks to the cleaning service.

So we do not send the products separately. If you want this, you will have to place a separate order.

As long as your sneakers are being treated with us, you can order extra products without additional shipping costs.


What are the payment options?

Your order can be paid in several ways. You can choose to pay in advance via bank transfer, pay directly via PayPal, Ideal or Credit Card or pay afterwards via Klarna or In3.
