How do I use Shoe GOO?
- Before you begin, clean the surface you plan to use Shoe GOO. Make sure any dirt is removed before you begin repairing the shoe.
- Apply a thin layer of Shoe GOO directly from the tube to the area you want to repair or protect. Wear gloves.
- Take a small stick or other object and spread it evenly over the surface. Make sure all the holes are filled in and smooth it completely.
- Take a hairdryer and heat the area for 5 minutes so that the Shoe GOO can harden.
- Keep a distance of at least 15 cm from the surface and set the hairdryer to the lowest setting.
- If you are not using a hairdryer, give it 3-4 hours to harden properly.
- Repeat step 3 several times to turn the thin layers into one thick layer.
- Let everything dry for 24 to 72 hours for optimal results.
What can I use Shoe GOO for?
Use Shoe GOO to:

How long does it take for Shoe GOO to heal?
Complete curing takes 24 to 72 hours, depending on the environment. At lower temperatures and higher humidity, the curing time increases; at higher temperatures, the curing time decreases. To speed up the drying time, apply heat with a hairdryer set to the lowest setting. Hold the hairdryer at least 15 cm (6 inches) from the surface.
How can Shoe GOO be cleaned up?
Small amounts of Essential Deglazer , acetone, or citrus-based solvents can be used on uncured adhesive; the adhesive will bubble and brush off. Cured adhesive can be removed by cutting or scraping.
Is Shoe GOO water resistant?
Yes. It is water resistant immediately after application.
- Apply Shoe GOO directly to the surface you want to waterproof.
- Apply thin layers of Shoe GOO, allowing each layer to cure for 3 to 4 hours.
- Shoe GOO cures by evaporation of the solvent, so allow time for thorough curing to ensure good adhesion and wear resistance.
What temperature range can Shoe GOO withstand?
Once cured, Shoe GOO can withstand temperatures between -40°C to 66°C.
