Liquid Kicks Top Coats are leather top coats or finishers of the highest quality in the industry!
Liquid Kicks top coats are designed to protect your artwork on various surfaces, such as leather, vinyl, PVC, canvas, cotton and silk. The top coats are extremely scratch-resistant, UV-resistant, waterproof and chemical resistant. LK Top Coats give you the ability to send your custom leather, canvas and vinyl products into the world with the confidence that they won't peel, crack or fade and that they will always look good.
LK Intercoat is a water-based acrylic coating created to block chemical reactions and bleeding between layers of paint. You use the intercoat layer just before you start applying details. Use 2 layers of the intercoat layer builder and then get started. The underlayer will be protected because the intercoat layer builder forms a barrier. It gives you the opportunity to paint without worries. It is compatible with solvent-based paints, so this product can be used in many applications!
All layers of paint under the Intercoat MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY before applying Intercoat. Remove all dust before applying. This product cannot be used as a primer.
Apply the Intercoat in two to three layers with an airbrush or a soft brush . Start with a light layer. Dry it quickly after application with a hair dryer until the surface is dry. DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN , this may burn the Intercoat. Before applying the next coat, make sure the surface is cool to the touch.
Apply the second coat as a medium wet coat and then dry quickly with a hairdryer. Applying a third coat is only recommended if you don't plan to add any more coats of paint or if you expect to erase heavily.
Intercoat is also intended for extremely clean stenciling. Using Intercoat after applying a stencil will significantly reduce stencil problems such as lifting and bleeding.
In some situations the paint needs to be stronger than it is made to be. Certain inks have a binder that is too weak to be used on flexible surfaces. To increase the strength of the ink, add 1 to 3 drops of intercoat to 10 drops of ink, mix and spray. Compatible with all water-based paints.
The chemistry of the Intercoat layer builder allows it to dry quickly and provide a barrier between paints that would normally cause mixing together. Example: light pink and white. Intercoat is non-reactive and will ensure that most dyes and paints do not attack the next layer. Two or three light coats are required.
Intercoat does not contain UV blockers and is not as flexible or scratch resistant as our top coats. It should not be used as a top coat.
